The lighthouse of Kylmäpihlaja is located on a small island in the Bothnian Sea -10 km west from the main land and the town of Rauma. The lighthouse was built in 1953 to guide the ships arriving to Rauma port. In the year 2002 the lighthouse opened to the public. Nowadays there´s a hotel and a restaurant.
The restaurant has 40 seats. We serve lunch daily and dinner from Monday ´till Saturday.
The hotel has 11 rooms, most of them double rooms and two 4 persons rooms. These rooms are located in the tower of the lighthouse. There are also conference rooms for business meetings and a chapel for small family occations.
In Kylmäpihlaja you can enjoy a warm bath in an open air wooden bath tub that is heated with woods. There´s a traditional sauna available too. As surrounded by the sea you can also swim, just relax and enjoy the peace of the nature.
We have canoes, rowing boat, fishing equipment and binoculars for rent.
The marina is hidden well between the wavebreakers. There you can spend your time without to worry about the winds rocking your boat. For overnight stay we charge 10€ per boat. With the 10€ fee you can use electricity, toilet and shower freely.
